Coach  Robert Wall

Dolphin’s Swim Team is a member of Sundance Aquatic Association. Our 2015 Season is from May 4th – July 18th. We are currently accepting new swimmers of all ages and levels. For more information, visit our website at

All swimmers will learn excellent swimming techniques, along with self-discipline, respect, team building skills and good sportsmanship. We expect and encourage all our swimmers to hold themselves to the highest standard of character and behavior, both in and out of the pool. We offer a high quality, competitive and fun family oriented swim team program. We offer lots of extracurricular activities for both the swimmers and their families (hikes, ball games, movie nights, etc.).

Our coaches serve as role models to all our swimmers, volunteering their time and expertise. All our current assistant coaches ‘grew up’ on the team, each one swimming with the dolphins for an average of 12 years. They all went on to become outstanding high school and/or collegiate swimmers. They return every summer to offer their time and talent because they love the dolphins and they love the sport. Our head coach, Robert Wall, has been with the dolphins for 30 years. He is the longest serving head coach within Sundance. The Dolphin’s coaching staff offers strength through experience and continuity.

The first evening practice will begin on Monday, May 4, 2015, at UNM Johnson Pool (downstairs), from 6:30pm – 7:30pm. Throughout the month of May, we will practice every evening, Monday-Friday. As always, the evening May practices are optional – but are highly encouraged. Regular season workouts will start Tuesday morning, May 26, 2015, from 6:45am – 8:00am, at UNM Olympic Pool (upstairs). Swimmers are to report to the far NW corner of Johnson Field (directly adjacent to the Olympic Pool) with running shoes (no flip flops!) for stretching, running, etc… promptly at 6:45am. Regular evening practices will continue from 6:30pm – 7:30pm at the UNM Olympic Pool.

Parking at UNM should not be a problem, based on the hours we will be using the pool. You can park in any ‘A’ lot, at no charge, between 6pm -8am. Street side parking is also available. You cannot park in the lot directly outside the natatorium, as it is designated for handicap parking only. UNM is also working with the Dolphins to provide parking permits to our team members. This is something new, and we will post the information on our website as it becomes available.

Traveling on Central, between University & Girard, turn north onto Stanford or Yale. Both streets are very short and immediately terminate at Redondo Road. Turn east (right) onto Redondo Road. Follow Redondo Road all the way around Johnson Field until you get to Johnson Gym. You may drop off your swimmer (and belongings) at the entrance to the pool area, and then go and park your car.
